IMPORTANT
INFORMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW
BEFORE SELECTING PRIVATE PAY HOME CARE OPTIONS
Best Home Care is a licensed home care agency committed
to the health and well being of each and every one of
our customers. All our employees – from aides to
registered nurses - are licensed, bonded and insured as
required by state, federal and local laws. Before an
employee is hired careful pre-employment interviews are
conducted, references are investigated and criminal
background checks are conducted. All new employees then
receive thorough training prior to providing care to our
customers. Our policies help to ensure that each
potential employee is qualified and willing to make our
customers’ health a number one priority.
What is the difference
between a licensed home care agency and a registry?
A registry is essentially an employment agency that, for
a fee (usually a percentage of what you pay the
caregiver), will refer and place personnel in your home.
However, you are the employer and assume full
responsibility for this caregiver.

Your
Responsibilities
When a caregiver from a registry or independent employee
works for you, you are legally responsible for all
applicable state, federal and/or local laws including
withholding payroll taxes such as Social Security,
Medicare and unemployment contributions including
payment of workers' compensation and other legal
liabilities related to employee or contractor injury. As
an employer, you face the potential liability for the
costs and damages of a lawsuit if you fail to maintain
these coverages.
We hope this information helps you make the BEST
selection of private pay home care services for your
loved ones.
Thank you for your interest in Best Home Care. |
