In response to a growing need for companion services for elders in the community, Best Home Care has developed a program to ensure that these services are available to those in need.

Companion Services are non-medical, supervision and socialization provided to functionally impaired adults. Companions accompany clients shopping, going on walks, going to doctor’s appointments, the bank, post office, or meal site. Companions encourage and participate in social/recreational activities such as card games, reading, knitting, puzzles, letter writing, reminiscing and sin along with a client.

At Best Home Care the companions receive training about how to provide these services in a way that keeps our clients engaged and happy. Companions often provide the much needed ride to get to a social event or appointment. We plan Monthly meetings with our companions to share experiences, new ideas and provide companionship that our clients appreciate.
